My name is Karl Barker and I’m the founder of Yorkshire Carving based with my family in the heart of North Yorkshire.

Working in a variety of ethically locally sourced timbers I create a fantastic range of sculptures, from owls to dragons and everything in between.

I initially studied 3D design and then gained a degree in BA 3D Contemporary Crafts in 2010. This is where I found the passion for carving and creating sculpture. Since then I’ve worked on many fantastic projects creating all sorts of sculptures, from small carvings to large sculpture trails.

I now work with a mixture of clients from home owners to local authorities to create beautiful bespoke carvings that enhance their environment.
